CHERYL CAI

My name is Cheryl Cai. I was born and raised in Guangzhou, China. I graduated from Columbus College of Art & Design in Ohio in 2021 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Architecture & Design. My passion for interior design comes from the appreciation that different spaces evoke different feelings of people. From this, I enjoy taking inspiration for my work, whether it is the formal feel of a teacher's office, the fanatical feel of an arcade, or the seriousness of a temple. I also enjoy the experience of being an assistant for CCAD’s Saturday Morning Art Class, which let me learn how to work with children as well as adults. I believe that every type of art has a story, and it is necessary to realize the story behind the work if people want to realize the work.
